Doors
Doors can be stripped using either caustic or solvent stripping methods.
Solvent stripping is predominantly used on hard wood doors, we can also use a water based stripping process - please feel free to contact us to determine the best method for your doors.
Furniture
We are able to strip most furniture using a solvent based tank stripping system, if furniture is pine a caustic stripper will be used
Caustic Stripping
This is the most common way of stripping doors - this is usually a cold rather than a heated stripping process so as not to damage any glue joints.
The only materials we tend to use this process of stripping on is pine and iron (radiators and gates for example)
Solvent Stripping
Solvent stripping is generally used for the removal of laquers and paints from hard wood or delicate furniture - we can remove the coating using the solvent without causing damage to the wood.
We also use this method to strip marble (fire places for example)
Eco Friendly Stripping
We are currently working alongside the Manufacturers of Paramose Paint Strippers who have developed Pro Grade Enviromose Paint Stripper.
Enviromose is probably the very first genuinely no-compromise stripping agent that is kind
to the environment and the user. It’s special formulation allows the product to penetrate
deeper without drying out, resulting in easier removal of surface coatings, it has no unpleasant
odour and leaves no nasty residues, yet the results are as effective as using a conventional paint
stripper.
This extra strong gel is designed to remove almost any coating, water or oil based and has
given outstanding results on multiple coated surfaces. This is the ideal product for use on-site and
for home DIY allowing you to remove paint simply and safely.
and safely.
